Studio 4 is situated in Salt Creek Artworks is situated on 4th Street South in St Petersburg Florida. It is a large building with many art studios. We have frequent art exhibitions by artists from all over the area. So come over, enjoy the wealth of talent and be part of it by finding out what it is like to be an artist.

Artist Statement

Carolina Shrewsbury

Born 18 June 1956 in Chatham, Kent GB. Spent formative years travelling around Europe with family. Diploma in Fashion Design, Plymouth College of Art & Design, 1977-80; C&G in Light Clothing Industry, 1979. B.Sc Degree in Organizational Management from Bryan College, Dayton TN USA 2006. Started caving with Plymouth Polytechnic Caving Club, 1978; Westminster Caving Club, London 1980; Active caver with AGH/SGH (Switzerland) and independently in Yorkshire 1980-1997. Member of the National Speleological Society, NSS #48936.
Exhibited in Great Britain, throughout Europe, U.S.A and Australia since 1985. Many paintings in private collections. Founder Member of International Society of Speleological Art (ISSA) 1994. Initiated SpeleoArt in 1997 as an organization for international speleo-art workshops and exhibitions, which now operates world-wide. Moved permanently to the USA in 2000. Founding member of the National Speleological Society (U.S.A) Fine Arts Salon, an annual competition for professional and amateur artists, in 2000. Awarded Fellowship of the National Speleological Society and the Spelean Arts and Letters Award in 2006. Published several papers including History of Art in Caves and other articles about art in caves. Working on new projects in own studio at Salt Creek Artworks, St Petersburg, FL
